Hmmm... what to say? Let's start from the beginning. I have always been a tinkerer, ever since I was young. Being raised in a family of auto mechanics, carpenters, plumbers, basically jacks of all trades, put just about any hand tool you could think of at my fingertips. I have always had a nack for figuring out how to fix things that others said could not be fixed. When I started working as a teen I put those skills to work teaching myself how to build and service bicycles. I have worked many other jobs but have always come back to working with my hands. Most of my early bike learning was the pre-YouTube era, so there was a lot of trial and error. In my opinion there is no better way to learn. Fast forward 20+ years, I have now built and services bikes for many companies over the years, always expanding my knowledge. I have been named regional expert for a big box retail company, putting me in charge of certifying up and coming bicycle technicians as well as recertifying existing ones. I have managed bike sales and service for multiple stores, within this company, up and down Florida's Gulf Coast and now am looking to work for myself doing what I love to do, which is helping others. Oh! Biggest peeve with bikes- when customers tell me that the bike shop said it wasn't worth fixing. If you love your bike, there is always a way to bring her back to glory, You just need to let me know what you want to do. I look forward to hearing from you.
